Term 2 Week 1 Learning Log:

Monday: School finally reopen. Miss all my FRIENDS. Miss Maly and Mr Chua came in and we greeted them as teachers. We got back our common test paper and i don't really score well. I got a very big mistake in my MCQ questions. OMG!!! i wrote (a) which is also the answer but Mr Chua mistaken as (d). So sad!! Nevermind i will write my answer very big and clear next time. I really learnt a very big lesson. After going through the answer, Mr Chua show us our results for our learning logs and total result. I did quite well for the learnign log but not my tests. :( I WILL WORK HARD FOR MY UPCOMING LITERATURE EXAMINATION AND OTHE SUBJECTS TOO!! After showing everything, Mr Chua left the class and Miss Maly took over the lesson. She seems very excited and the whole class is very curious. Soon, the class went chaos... Standard. Miss Maly get us to move all the chairs and tables to the side and get into the big space in the middle. Once we are in the middle, she call us to spread out and those boys at the back was very noisy. Miss Maly shouted at the guys and praised the girls in front. HAHAHAHA!!!! I was standing in front. :) After that, we weere ask to close our eyes and imagine ourselves in a park. As for me, i can't imagine anything, nothing came out in my mind. No offence. We were asked to opened our eyes and askes us some questions like what is our mood when walking. Are we angry? Happy? She taught us how to walk in a heavy or light footsteps. After that, Miss Maly get us seated down and wanted us to get into a groups of 3 with mix races. She gave each of us a worksheet which is about acting a play on Macbeth which is graded in our upcoming examination. Before the bell ring, she called us to moved back the tables and chairs and called us to hand up our brochure about what is love to us.

Friday: Miss Maly came in our class and we greeted her. She called us to move all the tables and chairs to the side like last monday. She called Wei Xiang to come out and demostrate how he walk to school every morning. After demostrating, she ask the even numbers to get on to the 'stage' and want them to walk in a heavy and light footsteps at a speed of 1-5. Next, she wanted odd nnumbers to got onto the 'stage' to show how they walked in a heavy or light footsteps. Miss Maly add on another acting for the odd numbers which is to walked like a child, grandparents and gangster. Next, she get the even numbers to demostrate the same thing. After that, Miss Maly asked us to take out our worksheet that she had given us last week and answer the questions. And the lesson end.

Term 1 Week 10 Learning Log:
Hi! Posting for Monday first and then Friday as usual.
Monday: Miss Maly came to our class and we greeted her. The basic manners right? After that, we went through sonnet part 1. At first, we did not went through much as our class is very noisy. Miss Maly needed to pause for awhile to wait for everyone to quiet and continued. This cycle repeated over and over again. Slowly the class is quiet and Miss Maly continued. Not long after, Miss Maly gave each of us sonnet part 2 worksheet. It is about some phrases said by Romeo and Juliet when they are about to kiss. When Miss Maly is explaining the meaning of each phrase, the boys in our class are making so many comments about it. So, Miss Maly paused again, and the cycle repeats again. The bell ring and, Miss Maly told us she will continued on the next lesson. We greeted her good-bye:)

Friday: Miss Maly came in and everyone stand up, ready to greet her. After greeting her, we continue on our sonnet part 2 worksheet. Miss Maly successfully going through the worksheet despite the noise level in the class. After that, Miss Maly gave us a worksheet and we need to fold it into a brochure. First thing we going to do is to write down our own title related to love. My title is "First Love Story". Part one: Miss Maly gave us 5 min to walk around to ask 5 boys and 5 girls about their qualities for their partner in future. My quality is must be good to me, love & devoted. Part two: Miss Maly told us about what GREEKS think about love;
1. EROS
- passionate love or longing
2. PHILIA- Brotherhood and friendship involves loyalthy to friends, family & community.
3. AGAPE- A divine, unconitional and self sacrificing affection.
- The highest and purest form of love.
From this, I have learnt many things about love. Due to March Holiday is here, we got assignment which is to complete the whole brochure.

Term 1 Week 9 Learning Log:

Hey people out there! Common Test is here kind of busy, busy doing homework and revision. Okay, now i will post for this week literature lesson.
Monday: Today, Miss Maly came into our class alone. We greeted her and our lesson started. She told us that we will be having a game and need to form into groups of 4. After we have form our groups, Miss Maly told us about this game. This game needed a leader to see if everyone in the group is doing something, a spokesperson to say everything, a timekeeper to keep track of the time and the last person should be secreetary if i am not wrong. After that, Miss Maly gave each group a envelope which consist of stripes of paper of William Shakespeare's poem. The mission is to rearrange the poem. While we were thinking of how the poem is going to be like, Miss Maly will be showing the answer slowly one by one. Slowly, many groups are shouting for her to check the answer for them. My group also joined in the fun shouting for Miss Maly as we have completed our poem. After many times of having the incorrect poem and been corrected by Miss Maly, we finally completed it. After that, everyone had completed it, Miss Maly gave each of us a piece of worksheet about the poem. Our mission next is to draw a picture to represent one of the word from each sentence abd also that will be our homework, complete it by friday. Before the bell ring, Miss Maly told us a bad news which is, we have a remedial in NE library on wednesday together with 2 Thinking. Everyone face was like from happy to unhappy. But no choice, this is a compulsory lit remedial.

Wednesday (remedial): I reached the libray with my friends at 2.30pm and already many people were there. Miss Maly told us to read our Merchant of Venice text quietly but many people seems to not understand what is read quietly. Miss Maz was there to help maybe is because Gems students is not here yet. She called us to be quiet while Miss Maly is preparing the video of Merchant of Venice. After that, Miss Maly came to group us in a group of 6 mixed with 2 Thinking. By the time Miss Maly has grouped us and about to start the lessn is already 3. First, Miss Maly told us to take a look at the worksheet on the table. There are 2 pieces, one is the writing of questions that you think will be tested in Common test and the other one is the writing of 4 character traits of the characters in the MOV. Miss Maly show us the video of MOV and called us to record down the traits of each character. After watching the video, we need to complete writing the evidences of characters then we can be dismissed. When everyone had completed and ready to go home, Mr Chua asked some of the students which did not complete the learning log for week 8 to stayed back, and I am also one of them. Mr Chua gave us a dateline which is on Thursday night to upload the learnig log, if not we will need to stay back to do. And we are dismissed, finally! I am freezing inside the library.

Friday: Is Common test day!!! Hi everyone. Before I had my English test, I had my lit lesson. Today, we had our lit lesson at 4th floor block D. It's so windy there, Mr Chua called people who had not complete the homework to stand up and complete the worksheet. After that, Mr Chua want us to find a partner to test each other on 2 questions that we have set it on our own and they must grade the questions in A= very good, B= good, C= ok ok, D= lousy. People who had completed must stand so that Mr Chua knew who had completed. After everyone is done including those who did not complete their work, we must find another partner which is not the same races and test each other and grade the questions. After everyone is done, we line up and headed back to class as we are going to take for our English test. Quickly, Mr Chua told us to paste the worksheet that is to create our own questions on the back board and submit the rest of the worksheets, character traits and the William Shakespeare poem to the lit rep. We thanks Mr Chua and Miss Maly and we start our English test.

Term 1 Week 8 Learning Log:

Monday: We have our literature lesson. Have our greeting to Mr Chua as usual and a trainee name Miss Maliyana.(sorry if the name is spelled wrongly) We started on a new shakespeare's play Romeo & Juliet. Mr Chua grouped us two by two according to index number and i paired up with Regine. Mr Chua gave each of us a worksheet about character traits and a blank white paper per pair. Then, Mr Chua show us act 1, scene 5 of the play which is at a ballroom that how they met each other. And our homework will be writing of the character traits which we are been assigned and a mindmap of the traits done together as a pair. Index 11-20 is been assigned to write about Juliet which is me .

Friday: HELLO! Start my post about Friday. I had two lit lessons, one is the usual one and the other is the make-up lesson in the afternoon because of the 10th anniversary celebration. In the morning lit lesson, Mr Chua gave us a worksheet about IMAGERY. Is talking about Juliet's beauty said by Romeo. Here is the speech said by Romeo:
"Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of the night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear,
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows
As yonder aldy o'er her fellows shows.

Isn't it romantic? To me, yes. Is really romantic, Romeo is a romantic guy to me. As you can see, the speech is very sophisticated, so Mr Chua gave us that imagery worksheet which is to explained further on those phrase. And our homework will be to write a poem to our beloved ones.

In the afternoon, we went to movers and shakers gallery. We have another pair work which is to answer questions on a worksheet about our founding fathers that teacher gave to us. Those answer will be found on the movers and shakers gallery board. From there, I have more knowledge of our founding fathers achievements to us. After our whole class have done everything, we are released.
