Term 1 Week 8 Learning Log:

Monday: We have our literature lesson. Have our greeting to Mr Chua as usual and a trainee name Miss Maliyana.(sorry if the name is spelled wrongly) We started on a new shakespeare's play Romeo & Juliet. Mr Chua grouped us two by two according to index number and i paired up with Regine. Mr Chua gave each of us a worksheet about character traits and a blank white paper per pair. Then, Mr Chua show us act 1, scene 5 of the play which is at a ballroom that how they met each other. And our homework will be writing of the character traits which we are been assigned and a mindmap of the traits done together as a pair. Index 11-20 is been assigned to write about Juliet which is me .

Friday: HELLO! Start my post about Friday. I had two lit lessons, one is the usual one and the other is the make-up lesson in the afternoon because of the 10th anniversary celebration. In the morning lit lesson, Mr Chua gave us a worksheet about IMAGERY. Is talking about Juliet's beauty said by Romeo. Here is the speech said by Romeo:
"Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of the night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear,
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows
As yonder aldy o'er her fellows shows.

Isn't it romantic? To me, yes. Is really romantic, Romeo is a romantic guy to me. As you can see, the speech is very sophisticated, so Mr Chua gave us that imagery worksheet which is to explained further on those phrase. And our homework will be to write a poem to our beloved ones.

In the afternoon, we went to movers and shakers gallery. We have another pair work which is to answer questions on a worksheet about our founding fathers that teacher gave to us. Those answer will be found on the movers and shakers gallery board. From there, I have more knowledge of our founding fathers achievements to us. After our whole class have done everything, we are released.
